Something God has been teaching recently me is I am his. He has done this through a verse that he has been reminding me of since I heard it. The last part of Isaiah 43:1 “I have called you by your name; you are mine.”

There is something so intimate about God, the creator of the whole universe, knowing MY name, like what… The God that created the stars that make me thoughtless in wonder knows my innermost thoughts and wishes. How is that even logical. But I guess God being illogically logical is logic in and of itself. He calls me his no matter what I do or how far I run away. Now that is love.

How can the creator of the universe, everything seen and unseen, want to have a relationship with me? I have messed up so much and in so many ways yet he still knows my name and calls me to be his child by my choice, not his but mine. He will never force me to want a relationship with him but instead he holds out his hand and says “come, I love you, you are worth everything to me, I will never give up or leave you because you are mine.” Because of this I choose to give him everything I have because who could love me more than God.
