I have been trying to write this blog for the past two months, not having a clue where to start. You may ask why it would be so hard, I chose this trip right so I should be able to explain why I chose it but it is hard to put into words the reason I chose this trip.

I guess the biggest reason is I LOVE missions. I love going into a place and showing Gods love to people who aren’t usually seen in the world. I want to show people who feel lost, broken, different, invisible, and more how much God loves them through what I do and what I say. I want to serve these people who may have never been served and because of that they will see a new side of God that they have never experienced before.

I chose this trip over other organizations trips and other trips provided by the World Race because from the moment I saw this specific trip, the World Race Gap Year Development Route, I knew that it was were I was supposed to be. There was something drawing me to this specific trip and this specific time that I couldn’t get out of my head.

Before I committed to WRGY my parents and I were discussing other options of what I could do after graduating. I knew that college wasn’t the course for me but I also knew that I didn’t want to spend a year working and not doing something. I knew that I loved going on mission trips and that there was a specific calling of mission work over me in my life so I decided to pursue mission trips that I could take. I looked at many different organizations and trips but this trip stuck out to me the most. It was always in the back of my mind no matter how many other things I was researching. So finally I talked with my parents and they felt that this was the right decision for me.

So here I am ready to embark on this crazy adventure!!!
